The Arizona in Orvieto program is located in the beautiful, quaint town of Orvieto, just one hour north of Rome and approximately two hours south of Florence.

Started in 2002 by Prof. David Soren, Regents Professor at the UA and Director of the Arizona in Orvieto Program, it has soon become one of the most popular Study Abroad Programs at the UA.

Students participate in field trips and museum visits throughout the semester, which include a three-day trip to the Campanian region with a highlight on the sites of Pompeii and Paestum and two day trips to destinations such as Rome, Florence, Assisi, and Siena.

The broad variety of courses offered, taught by both UA and Italian faculty, includes Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture, Art History, Classics, Communication, English, Italian, Photojournalism, Psychology, Studio Art. 

The program is fully accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Universit√† e della Ricerca - MIUR).
